Job description
|
Telecommunications technicians work in various communication organizations, enterprises and companies to perform technical work with telecommunications networks, conduct telecommunication equipment installation, monitoring, maintenance and repair to ensure its qualitative work in accordance with effective standards and regulations.
They also test and measure electronic communication transmission systems, switchboards and telecommunication equipment, applying latest telecommunications measurement technologies and telecommunication software. They also perform necessary changes in control equipment software; apply practical skills to solve problems in the work process. They can work independently or as a part of a team.

Specific skills in the profession

- To perform telecommunication equipment installation, set up and tuning activities; - To provide technical maintenance for telecommunication networks and transmission systems; - To perform mobile communications network design and technical maintenance; - To ensure optical fiber cable networks and transmission systems technical maintenance; - To apply measurement equipment to control equipment technical condition; - To apply latest information technologies in telecommunications and computer equipment to ensure its qualitative operation; - To ensure maintenance to prevent equipment failure; - To perform repair activities; - To modernize the equipment.
